Historical Identity

Jinan is the capital of Shandong Province and one of China’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.

Its history spans over 4,000 years, with roots in the Longshan Culture (Neolithic era). Known as the "City of Springs", it is famed for its 72 artesian springs, which have shaped its identity. Jinan has been a political, economic, and cultural hub since the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE).
